Cami lives just outside of Boston with her two dogs(and supermodels) Sunny and Max, and their cat friend, Kibbles.
Cami's dog photographs have been published in: Urban Dog Magazine, Mother Jones, Boston Magazine, The Photo Review, Town and Country, The Animal Print Magazine, and Towery Publishing's Book on Boston. Cami's photos have also been published by Palm Press, Marcel Schurman, and Portal Publications.
Cami's work has been exhibited at the Cultural Arts Center in Gadsden, Alabama and at the Stebbins Gallery in Harvard Square.
"Throw Me a Bone"...a book of recipes for dogs, written by Sally Sampson and Susan Orlean(and her dog, Cooper), with over 50 of Cami's dog photographs. Published in November of 2003 by Simon and Schuster. Available on this website as well as bookstores everywhere.
Every photo on this site was shot with real film, there's nothing digital here other than the scanning of the film.
About the Supermodels:
Max: Max was adopted from the MSPCA in Boston when she was 6 months old. She's a real ham in front of the camera and will sit still until she hears the film rewind, at which point she will accept her treat and walk away. Images of Max have been published in Boston Magazine, Town and Country, and Urban Dog Magazine. She was also featured on a line of greeting cards by Marcel Schurman.
Sunny: Sunny was originally going to be my foster dog for the rescue group Save-A-Dog...I fostered her for about 2 minutes before deciding to adopt her myself. She was found wandering the streets of the Bronx before being rescued by Save-A-Dog. She's part Ridgeback and part who knows what. She also enjoys being photographed and has appeared in Urban Dog Magazine and Boston Magazine.
Kibbles: Kibbles was adopted 14 years ago and does not enjoy being photographed very often. She is very proud to be the only cat featured in the dog cookbook "Throw Me a Bone" (and not as an ingredient).
